Fusion Dementia Café was established in February 2006. It is a partnership venture between local agencies involved in Dementia Care. Clevearc are the lead agency but are supported regularly by staff from Stockton’s Integrated Mental Health Service and Avalon.

It is held on the last Friday of the month in the Training Suite adjacent to Kirkdale Nursing Home, with a separate side entrance into the garden.  The café provides a supportive environment for people with dementia and their carers to attend a social occasion together, where the effects of dementia are understood and accepted.

There is no charge for attending and people do not need to be referred or make an appointment in advance to attend.  At each session visitors receive refreshments, cream cakes, snacks and good quality varied entertainment.
