Following the government’s announcement of the roadmap out of lockdown the first cautious steps were taken this week when children headed back to school on 8th March, I can hear parents everywhere breathing a huge sigh of relief.
Easing of another rule was that care home residents are able to have one designated visitor providing they take a Covid-19 test and wear PPE, this I am sure is welcomed by residents and families alike and I’m in no doubt there will be many tearful but joyful reunions.
The vaccine roll-out is still on track, and we should see all adults offered their first vaccine by the end of July.
All good news and hopefully there is now a light at the end of the coronavirus tunnel, here’s to meeting up with family and friends very soon.
