Gayle Tweed

Gayle Tweed, the Chief Executive of the charity has been with the organisation in a senior management role since April 1996 and has an extensive financial, business management and health and social care background. Her role within Cleveland Alzheimers is to drive the strategic direction of the charity and look at any research and development opportunities that arise around the ever changing needs and dependencies of people with dementia and their carers, families and friends.

She is also a member of the North of Tees Dementia Collaborative, who locally drive the implementation of the National Dementia Strategy, and whose aims and objectives are to embed the principles of good dementia care in all services. As an Executive member of the Stockton and Billingham Care Providers Association she is also instrumental in driving up the quality of care delivered in care homes within the region.
